SCHOOL MEALS
healthy eating
We encourage healthy eating and promote this both at lunch and at breaktime (where all children are offered a fruit snack)
Parents are asked to assist with the healthy lunches policy in school and are asked that packed lunches do not include fizzy drinks and chocolate bars (unless containing biscuit). Parents are also asked to minimise the occasions pupils have crisps in their packed lunches.
Please note that we are a nut free school. We discourage using chocolate spreads in packed lunches as these often contain nuts. Please send a photo of ingredients list to [email protected] with your child's name and class to show it is nut free if using chocolate spread.

A new menu is being introduced after the Easter break (please see below).
We have been informed by HCL that school dinner prices for KS2 children will be increasing from £3.30 to £3.45 a day from 1st April 2025.
As with most businesses, the recent increase in the National Living Wage and National Insurance, as well as the increase in food and energy costs have placed a financial challenge on HCL. They are committed to not make any changes to portion size or nutritional value and they will continue to use 100% British Farm Assured meat, Red Tractor certified poultry, Lion Quality free range eggs and MSC certified fish as well as fresh, locally sourced fruits and vegetables wherever possible.
