year 6 pgl trip

Year 1 art wow day

Year 6 recently returned from an excellent residential trip at a PGL centre.  They took part in a range of different outdoor activities that helped them to use their team building skills and develop resilience.  Everyone had a great time.
In October, Year 1 had a fun day learning about the sculptor Henry Moore.  They found out about the artist and created their own clay sculptures in his style.  In the afternoon, parents and carers came in to see the work and create large sculptures with recycled materials. They had a great day!

To celebrate National Poetry Day, we dressed up as words throughout the school. The children (and staff) enjoyed this and they learnt lots of new words to widen their vocabulary.
